Fantasy Park

Fantasy Park is Kerala's first amusement park, located just a kilometer away from Malampuzha Dam. There are beautiful gardens and fountains for people to enjoy. It offers a menu of 20 rides. The largest wave pool in the park can give you some thrilling moments in your life. Zip Zap Zoop, Swing slam bob, Dragon Coaster, Oriental Express Train, Saya Trooper, Water Merry-Go-Round, Tora Tora etc. are for adults as well as for children to try. Water Kiddy Ride, Baby Train and Battery Car are there for kid’s entertainment. Conveniently enough, there is a hygienic restaurant and ice-cream parlour in the park.

Kava

Kava

Kava is an awesome and silent scenic spot located on the other side of the Malampuzha Dam. There are no public transport systems available to the place. Either drive through the Malampuzha - Kanjikode road and take left to Kava - Anakkal Road (after Rock Gardens), or walk straight after the end of the dam, along the catchment area. (It is too much to walk, you are warned). The waves of water will make you feel you are on a sea shore. The location would be an unforgettable delight for Nature lovers and photographers.

Palakkad Fort (Tipu's Fort) is an old granite fort situated in the heart of Palakkad town. It was built by Haider Ali in 1766 and remains one of the best preserved forts in Kerala. There is a canal that surrounds the fort, in the shape of 9 arches. It is said that crocodiles were petted inside the canal to prevent suddent attack by enemies. There is now a small Hanuman Temple inside the fort. The Palakkad sub jail is also located within the fort.

Dhoni Hills and Waterfalls

Dhoni is a reserve Forest area that has a small but beautiful, splendid and captivating waterfall in the middle. Though the aerial distance between Dhoni Hills and the North end of Malampuzha Dam is just 3 km, it takes 12 kilometers to reach Dhoni by road. Dhoni provides trekkers the opportunity to explore its hilly terrains. Its lush green surroundings are a pleasure to watch. Dhoni is also famous for its farmhouse, harbouring hundreds of cattle of Swiss variety. The best time to visit Dhoni is soon after the monsoon rains.
